An injured lion still wants to roar.

friday was the last day of training before the holidays and all.

had a match against the j2s and the seniors of yesteryear. it was kinda cool, cos we were winning at first. but we still lost in the end. oh well, we'll beat them someday(we already did, like some 6 months ago, with some help from some Chinese[he's really from China] senior[i think his name was li nan?], wafa and elia[is that how you spell it?]). li nan kinda told us J1s where to go and what to do and all la. and wafa just made everyone run like dogs. and elia, hoho, he just killed everyone. so you can say we sorta cheated la. but for that brief moment, it was encouraging to know that we weren't all that bad and that all we needed was a lil guidance every now and then in a match.

but friday was depressing for me i guess, cos all i could do was bum around after the run and footwork drills. was yearning to play i suppose. and perhaps, was still hesitating bout what to do next. and maybe i was thinking back bout the stupid things i shouldn't have done, like getting out of that ruck and getting myself into another to lose another shoulder. it all happened way too fast.

and friday kinda ended my J1 year in pjc.

in all honesty, it wasn't the best year in my short 17 years of life. but that's what i've always seem to be saying at the end of almost every year.

so i kinda spent the whole day thinking back about this year.

OG27.

08S16.

Pioneerugby.

these were the things that made me want to to head back to school for whatever reason(okay, maybe i didn't really list down everything that made me wanna head back but that's more at least it).

Legion chalet.

OG27 outing.

Match against ACS(i).

OGL camp.

Possible gym sessions with my teammates.

Completing the fitness programme that coach gave us.

Finishing my revision for the review test at start of the year.

Possible banner painting/designing for Pioneerugby's banner for open house 09(the word here is possible. come to think of it, it may not even happen. so yeah.).

PJC open house.

these are the things that i'm looking forward to completing and being part of. sounds like a lot of fun but hey, there's still work to be done.

on a random note, relient k's the vinyl countdown sounds not bad actually.

always running all around
going through the motion, the ups and the downs
i'm trying really hard
trying to keep from making a frown.

always trying to get from one place to the next
always rushing from point A to B.

in all that rushing i could barely see
that everything i had would crumble eventually.

i feel weak
helpless
i can't find a reason to believe
or more like, i don't know what to believe in anymore.

words i said when i went there myself.

i really miss my friends who're at OBS now. this week's been really boring, especially with all the homework and all. hope they're all having fun right now and that they'll come back safely tomorrow.

I will be home in a while,
You don't have to say a word.
I can't wait to see you smile,
Wouldn't miss it for the world.

hey ho, who's up for some Piano Hero?!

HAR HAR!

GUESS WHAT! there's piano hero!(hokay, i know i sound like one of those tech geeks who were waiting for the iPhone a few months ago).

it's no longer called piano hero for obvious reasons(ahem-copy-right-laws-ahem). so the creator changed the game's name to synthesia. i must say it sounds way cooler that piano hero though. haha. yeahh. was looking around for piano tutorials for jeffrey michael's hero(requiem) but i just couldn't seem to find anything.

so i decided to fool around and typed "piano hero" into the search field.

and voila.

Piano Hero!

here's the link by the way, just in case you wanna check it out; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2mPdXJsLcc

the webbie for the game's in the video! so go download it and tell me if it's good! oh oh, er, one thing i forgot to mention. you need to have a piano keyboard that has a MIDI cable socket? yeahh.

now i just need to get a USB/MIDI cable to play it! and some decent MIDI files too. heh. dying to try. will prolly have to go to the yamaha shop at plaza sinagpura to get it. it's gonna cost quite a fair bit i guess.

yes, we can.

i finally settled the open house booth thingy with sheikh. now, that's one thing of the list.

from the looks of it, this holiday isn't really much of a holiday. all the homework. and to top it off, we've got a review test at the start of the term. yikes.

on a random note, we made it to the second day of the sevens. haha.

upcoming events;

1)legion chalet

2)OGL camp

3)open house!

mann, i'm gonna miss the people who're going for obs next week.

anyway, i was snooping around youtube when i found this funky video called "yes, we can." it's a song by will.i.am of the black eyed peas bout obama and all. it's pretty cool. go check it out. trust me, it's worth your time.

of sexist sports brands and sports shops.

i thought i had just hit jackpot. was scouting around for sports stuff(my shoe died after the 10km and i have a bad shin splint now. i was hoping to use the $100 capitaland voucher i won from the Sunday Times caption contest a few months ago.) and i eventually wound up at Royal Sporting House. and guess what i found?

baselayer going for $33!

can you imagine, baselayer going for SGD$33!
like homg.

"excuse me, do you have any reebok baselayers for men? those over there kinda look like they're for the ladies."
"eh. baselayer? which one?"
"er, the one over there. yeahh."
"uh. we're sorry sir. we only have those for the ladies, but for the gents we have PLENTY of SHIRTS and SHORTS and other apparel over there."

NOOOOOOOOOO.

anyway, for those of you who are scratching your heads on seeing the word baselayer, i'll tell you more bout it. well, basically, it's like some kinda tights-like-material-suit for the upper body. they come in short sleeves and long sleeves. supposedly meant to keep you dry by removing moisture from your body. or in other cases, keep you cool/warm and all. you kinda get the idea. but the backside part of it is that it's usually sold for like above $50? nike, skins, canterbury, with skins being the most expensive. oh well, hope reebok'll make baselayers for men next time.

that aside, i'm kinda worried bout OP tomorrow. and of course the day that will live on in infamy, Nov 6th. i'm kinda happy i got in for the ogl thingy and i'm totally looking forward to the camp at the end of the year(literally; 29-31 Dec) after all the crazy stuff.

God Bless.
